Description
Seamungus in an easy to apply pellet form, simply spread on plant beds by hand or use with a spreader for lawns & turf. Seamungus is a soil and plant conditioner, manufactured by composting seaweed, fish, humic and manure. Seamungus will retain up to 70% of its own weight in moisture - significantly increasing the soil’s ability to hold onto water and nutrients.
The product undergoes a unique composting process, specifically developed to stabilise the nutrients, maximise nutrient availability and to ensure the product is free of any parasites, pathogens and weed seeds. Most importantly, the resultant product necessary for a ‘living’ product. Whilst Seamungus contains a wide range and good levels of plant nutrients, it is perhaps the additional unique properties contained within seaweed that provide the catalyst for providing higher yields of sustained quality.
Application Rates (pellet or crumble)- Gardens:
- Established – apply 100g per square metre every 6-8 weeks throughout the year, including winter, or as required.
- Planting – apply 50g per plant to base of hole and cover with 1-5cm soil.
- Pots – apply 50g per 8” pot (200ml) every 6 weeks with relative increases / decreases dependent on pot size.
- Lawns:
- Crumble is recommended
- Established – apply 100g per square metre every 10-12 weeks throughout the year or as required.
- New - incorporate 100g per square metre into the soil prior to planting or laying.
- Always water in well
- Handy Hint:
- A litre container will hold approximately 600g of Seamungus and 1 cup will hold approximately 150g.
Seamungus contains a number of naturally occurring growth stimulants - fantastic for promoting plant and root, as well as growth and development. Seaweed is also recognised for its ability to retain moisture and increase the moisture level of the plants cell sap - this increases the plants ability to resist frost and heat stress. Seamungus will help increase resistance to pests and disease, stimulate healthy growth (both above and below ground)
Australian Certified Organic (ACO)

Neutrog is granted organic certification from the ACO for Seamungus after its methods and processes for manufacturing are audited to ensure that they comply with the standards and guidelines set down by the certifying body. Certification ensures compliance with national production standards, including low heavy metals and other residues, and allows for trace back of all raw materials to their origins.

Stock Control & Pricing Breaks
Our webstore now indicates an approximate level of items in stock. Please note that not all warehouse locations will hold all items in stock. If you wish to pickup your items please wait until we have confirmed your order is ready to go or call us on 1300 760 642 to check if the stock is available.
Stock levels are indicated as quantity breaks. These are: 1+, 6+, 12+, 36+, 100+, 250+, 500+, 1000+, 2000+ and 3000+. For example: if we have 5 ARS Florist Scissors in stock this would display as 1+ — if there are 47 in stock it will indicate 36+. As another example: if we have 14,960 Fluted Tree Guards in stock this would indicate as 3000+. The quantity also indicates the number of items as described by the product description; so Florist Scissors are sold individually whereas the 10L Carton Tree Guard is sold in boxes of 150 – in the later case 100+ items refers to 100+ boxes of 150 (or over 15,000 Carton Tree Guards in stock).
Please note: our webstore stock levels are accurate to within the last hour; if you order an item that has since sold out, we will promptly notify you as to when your order will be fulfilled. Some items may be indicated as Special Order items or display a custom message as to when stock is due.
Pricing breaks: many items in our store display pricing breaks. The number of items indicated in pricing breaks can vary a lot between different products. Often with horticulture tools such as secatuers and loppers, the pricing breaks relate to the number of items in a box or total number of items in a carton; so if you need several secateurs, and order per box or carton, you save more as we save time packing your order. Items such as tree guards, bamboo canes and hardwood stakes often have price breaks set to fill a standard pallet size; thus savings or efficiency gains are made in the storage and transport of these items.
